Age Levels
The activities vary in the linguistic and intellectual demands they make on young people involved in them, and the levels of prior knowledge that they assume. Not all are equally suitable in all settings or with all young people, regardless of their interests, motivation, age and intellectual ability. Most, however, can be simplified, or else made more demanding, according to the needs in any one situation.
During the piloting stage the activities were used with a wide range of young people, from Year 8 (ages 12/13) to sixth form (17/18).
